Thousands of years later those darn barbarians still won’t stay away from the gates. They just won’t learn.
What’s a civilization to do? Remove the gates?

Yes. I viewed this movie when it came out I could relate. I worked at the local post office years ago delivering mail on a foot route and remember how folks waited for their mail, especially the Social Security checks. A letter really meant something and was very much looked forward to by the recipient.
