A 500% increase in the “Space Force” membership plus the auxiliary supplies and support for them seems awfully like an extension of the military industrial complex’s need for a faux enemy to continue the war economy business model.

Exactly, @chris, EXACTLY! The average people that you routinely interact with all day long, every day, have absolutely no clue whatsoever that any of this is even going on. And, God-forbid, try to break the ice about this, or topics like this, and they look at you like you’re from another planet (no pun intended!)! I fully empathize with your frustration because I feel the same. We hear all of this talk on podcasts that “people are waking up”, but I just don’t see it. I’d love to know where these “people” are because I sure haven’t encountered them!

I think in some generic sense, a lot of people are ‘awakening’ in regards to the importance of nature, and God, or at least spirituality and a recognition of the soul, and compassion. People do seem to be less radical, you just hear about the extreme 10% on both sides.
What is lacking is courage, and the silent majority needs to stop being silent.

You’d blow out people’s circuits. It shocks people. Generally, you have to feel someone out.
I think Chris’s take is on point. People questioning purpose, their churches, the materialistic values our society has now gone to an extreme. When material values get to such extremes in societies, a rebalancing takes place.

What about the strategic implications of warfare in general, if an enemy who is equipped to operate entirely in three dimensional war, any weapons system and strategies restricted to two dimensions of surface battlefields, will become obsolete.
The first battles between surface and space forces, may end in total annihilation of surface forces and in subsequent wars, in total surrender before a shot has been fired.
Will war disappear from civilian environments entirely? No more bombing of cities and none combatant casualties?
And how will wars be fought, when nation-state infrastructure is replaced with a new form of civilizational organization.
