Very Clear in Central US, Good Fire Weather. Oops, Now it is Very Dusty

UPDATED April 7 23:24 PM CST BELOW

Nothing on the news about these fires; I am just posting for record purposes.

Large, synchronized fires.

.
.
Hundreds of hotspots blinking on and off and on and off and on and off.
(Click here, they may still be present)

.
.
Winds are indicated at 10-15mph, plumes seem to bear that out.

.
.
These are not listed as prescribed burns

Crop fires will be the most likely suggested cause. I contend they are unnaturally sudden, hot and broad for field fires and unnaturally synchronized across such a large area.

UPDATE 07:17 PM CST (00:17 UTC)

I don’t know about anyone else, but this does not look natural. And why not some air quality alerts on the local news at minimum?

A very large and sudden “dust storm” just swept across Kansas today. Note the edge lined with “candy clouds”.

Speaking of clouds, I wonder what name Ari at the Weather Channel has for that stretch of clouds from Baja California to west Texas… Antenna Clouds maybe?
