OK folks you asked for it you got it! Our makeup vidchat will be this coming Friday, July 17 at 2PM US Central time or possibly earlier if once again the weather looks like it might interfere (like it has so much lately). Keep your eyes posted on the forum for any last minute changes, and keep your fingers crossed that the platform will stay stable and I will still have access!
Someone also noted that the older vidchats had few such interruptions. That’s true for a couple of reasons: many of them were done in a different area in the country that was not subject to awful weather. Some of them were done before my heart attack and the arrival of my little fur girl Shiloh. Having experienced several severe storms where we were barely able to make the storm shelter in time, I simply do NOT take chances any more, as we literally have to run all the way around the house to the shelter, and that’s if they remember to blow the sirens, which just this year they failed to do so until the last minute a couple of times. So…that’s why: I’m erring on the side of an abundance of caution. And yes, I have to run to the shelter carrying Shiloh in my arms, as storms REALLY scare her, and that usually means I have to coax her out from some hiding place if we have to run to the shelter, and that, too, takes time. I am NOT going to abandon her in the house during a storm.
