A few Christmas’ ago I was given the Ancestry DNA kit. The results were pretty much what I already knew or suspected based on tales given to me by my grandparents when I was a child. I was surprised to learn I had nearly 10% German ancestry (Ja!) going back 200 years.
Do I regret it (taking the test not the German ancestry)? Not really no. My wife was surprised I would go for the test considering my ‘conspiracy theory’ ideas about a global database. But here we are.
