This is exactly why I would love to know if, at the top, we have an A.I. already running this planet as some claim??? Then again, if Sean D. Morton’s book series, “Sands of Time” is the TRUE story of a scientist who spent 40 years in the Black World, we would know there is a “level above” about which none of us Normies know anything?! Interesting times we live in!! Seems we can all pick & choose which level of “reality” we wish to live in, but actually, not one of us can be sure what is really going on or who is in charge!! 
That’s certainly true. But sometimes I wonder: Did most of the general public ever know what was really going on or who was really in charge?
I also ask myself, Do I need to know who’s really in charge? If I knew, would that actually affect my daily life? My answer: No. As long as I understand their likely patterns of behavior and plan accordingly, exactly who is pulling the strings is irrelevant.
I suspect that all the pitiful theater we see from our “leaders” is meant, in part, to keep us all in a state of anxiety, wondering what the heck is going on and who’s behind it.
That said, it can be interesting to study the what/who, as a sort of hobby or intellectual pursuit.
