And where are these tax dollars spent? Have we seen the least bit of meaningful investment
in our infrastructure projects? Bridges? How about the power grid? Bet those people in Cali
would have liked to have seen some action on that front. Of course, they’d have to pull from
the 130 billion dollar bullet-train budget (which has yet to be “officially” tapped). Or perhaps
they could get a loan against the 72 billion that the United States Post Office was forced to
pay IN ADVANCE to pre-fund potential Postal retirees (which killed the USPS by the way).
Wouldn’t matter. These pools end up being appropriated for some Congressional pet-project
or foreign war. Even better…ask any “Boomer” how far they’re stretching that Social Security
that they’ve paid in to all their lives… The C.O.L.A. cost of living adjustments are laughable.
They’d have done much better to have had the choice to put that same money in to private
investments. Good news for them is they’re the lucky ones…Social Security won’t be around
for the next generation…at least they got to test drive SOME of the money.

your best bet, though, would be to check out the new algorithm that follows Pelosi’s stock trades…

Anyone who pays anything above 0% in taxes for your “labor”, and that includes writing and selling that writing, has not read the tax code. Income tax is VOLUNTARY. I bet once you calculate how many hours it took to write the book, added a value to that, and then claimed that quarterly as compensation from the entity selling the books (please don’t tell me it is the same “person”) would find that what you owe in book sales in tax will be peanuts compared to what you are now claiming in credits owed back to you for those hours spent creating that “piece of art”. (New value) That is your withholding and what is owed back to you by the IRS.
The IRS is the ACCOUNTING division of the Treasury. You simply have to clear the ledger.
This is something have started to research for Washington State, the state doesn’t have income tax anyway but for declaring revenue for construction there isn’t an option for labor in that.
I had 2k of revenue last quarter of 2024 which am supposed to declare this month, I can declare that as manufacturing but if I do so also have to declare retail tax with that, 2k in manufacturing + retail equals $175 in tax owed.
Not sure if construction manufacturing is supposed to be declared a different way or $175 would be standard tax owed for that.
You aren’t doing the work, @Bahri . I tried to explain to you before that you are simply not taking the time to do the research. It is all there and people are winning at capturing their RECOUPment.
You have to calculate how much your business owes YOU for the work that was performed for them to complete the contract. We never pay ourselves… and I have at least 50 years of experience in saying this (NOT paying myself).
This is why we feel we are paying the IRS to work for ourselves when we just DIDN’T READ THE TAX CODE and left it up to someone who would reap your credits (accountants). Just like CIVICS where we know nothing about municipal government, we are barely able to balance our own books so we ask the masons to calculate what we are allowed.
Let that sink in.

Researching tax code isn’t really top priority for me but have started to research that.
The state used to have more funding for historic preservation projects but with the market crash of '09 that stopped.

The entirety of business conducted by “The US Government” since at least 1913, maybe further back, has been a money grab by European banking elite, where we’ve lost more than 99% of the dollar’s buying power. They started taking over with the split of the Union in 1860, which nullified the contract. The cost? Your sons and daughters, grandchildren, mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles, wives and husbands while their families sit back and bask in the sunshine on a hillside over looking the immaculate Hudson Valley having a nice picnic, after having purged it of the indigenous “Savages.” The confiscate all the technology that would be helpful and uplifting for humanity and promote destructive technology, own the government and all the furthering top secret technology research. Your still driving around in a car that somewhat controls explosions! On top of all that they created a anti constitutional full time military to control the rest of the world.
