These “blockades” have been boomeranging; having the opposite intentions, they are supposed to impose. Could this strengthen China in the chip making arena, making her self reliant? The problem, is it takes way too many years to achieve; if conventional methods are employed.

This is a strategic strike at China’s military & Space current and future capabilities.
This brings into play the “Foreign Direct Product Rule” where the West weaponizes patents in foundational technology[where the base tech is built upon, like the bottom rung of the computer chip ladder] - preventing third party countries from dealing in computer tech w/China. A list that is growing exponentially. Also preventing US citizens from helping China in this technology.
