Just extrapolating on a thought here & I bet others have pondered this also…
Lots of heavy trucks sitting on that US/Canada bridge. Hope maintenance is top notch. If even one weakness there, everyone could end up in the drink. Of course, truckers would be blamed for it.
Truckers need to get off the bridges. Block them one side or the other, but get off the bridges.
As great a display as this has all been, I think JBS is correct; eventually, truckers will be the losers here. Although they still have support, Sweet Trudy can hole up longer than the population living near the areas have patience for the truckers. The crowds are dwindling, like late evening at a carnival show. Would not surprise me to see police & possibly military come in soon.
The military stated early on that they will not participate. The truckers now represent the majority of the country with support from British Columbia to Newfoundland. When the Quebecois became supportive, it meant that the movement was real. (Takes a lot to get them off the couch- sort of like Americans.) There is news today that there may be a change coming.
What kind of “change”, do you know? Of course the military would say they’re not going to involve themselves but, if ordered, they will do it.
Bet they come out with a “safety hazard” for bridge, as well as other vehicles & economic concerns.
