Last vidchat there was a brief comment on the Machiavelli vs. Clausewitz models of politics in evidence by the major belligerents in the definitely-not-a-proxy-war in the Ukraine.
On the one hand, we have the Russian Federation (RF) declaring they have had enough of the west and NATO’s shennanigans in the Ukraine, the apparent western-centric, business-as-usual approach to global realities and playing footsie with fascist politics by way of pharmacological totalitarianism. I don’t know to what extent the RF is on board with the ongoing revolution in personal affairs vis-a-vis the coming AI wars, but they have declared that the RF is going to remain a civilizational nation rather than return to the nihilism of scientific materialism of their past.
On the other hand, we have seen the west, led by the European Union (EU) and the USSA (USA), along with their subjugate states, declare that the Ukraine is, while admittedly not fit to join any formal confederation of civilised states, under the undying protection of the west, regardless, and that the RF is simply acting in bad faith as they carry out their “special military operation”.
The west’s leadership is willing to bet the entire western farm on saving the Ukraine from a fate worse than death by depleting all current and future treasure on defending the Ukraine’s western freedoms. The cost is being counted in the accumulated debt of many decades of rapacious fiscal policy, as the ideologically driven green-energy policy lands the west exactly where you might have expected, while the overbearing nanny-state program of mandatory pharma technology reshapes our future and the WEF swoops in, like an angel of the apocalypse, to declare that “you will own nothing and be happy”, as though its all cool, never fear, and they have this under control.
The machines of chaos are working overtime, churning out a non-stop stream of unreality. The western media is fixated on a one-sided, completely un-nuanced and patently false narrative of the inevitability of the mighty Ukrainian defence, that victory is only another massive weapons shipment away and if, brother, you can spare a couple of billion again this week to see us through the month, the Russians will soon be defending Stalingrad once again.
Obviously, there is something to be said for positive propaganda in the face of an unrelenting assault, but one would assume that the calls for peace might have been heard somewhere in amongst the din. There is no such call, and in the face of a mountain-slide of military force against the wee bump of a hill that is the Ukraine, one expects that an honest opposition might have found time to put up one’s hand and declared “Time Out!” at some point.
Unless there is something else going on, I suppose.
I propose that west is actually playing bloodsport politics for real, and are not simply entirely incompetent and lost in an empire past. I don’t think they are all cognizant of how it is taking place, but there is an ideological goal in mind. I doubt that the goal was well formulated at the beginning of the Ukrainian process, as it were. It is, rather, taking form as opportunity makes progress available. I only dimly understand the deep ideology of the west, as I suspect most operatives within it do also, but something that is obviously a systematic process, that of the ordo ab chao doctrine, is definitely at work.
Witness this statement from Mario Draghi, the unelected, appointed-by-the-bank, leader of Italy, spoken at the recent meeting of the G7, which Wikipedia defines whose members are " the world’s largest IMF advanced economies and wealthiest liberal democracies" (let that sink in for a minute).
I draw your attention to Draghi’s statement: “If Ukraine loses, it will more difficult to maintain that democracy is an effective model of government.”
I submit that this is the ultimate order being extracted from the chaos that is allowed to exist. Draghi is no bumbling fool chosen by his neutered political establishment to suck air from the font of Ursula von der Haircut and her committees of doom, he is there to hold open the door for the IMF bankers to the EU with one hand while jamming the door of democracy shut with the other shoulder. This statement is a revelation of the political future as we transform from what remains of a democratic polity to the new order being run into place by Draghi, Von der Haircut, Boris the Black and whoever is controlling Sleepy Joe.
I think this is the plan, the EU knows the Ukraine cannot hold, it will fall, or at least that portion of the Ukraine that the RF wants will fall to them. Democracy will be declared to be in crisis at some point, as obviously the west’s A-Team of leaders could not get the job done, in the face of a new “Stalinist” threat, with the weak tools of liberal democracy. A new political force will be presented that throws away the soft shackles of peace and liberal value, and we will emerge “owning nothing” and “happier” into the brave new political paradigm of somewhere about the early middle ages.
