The deceitful heart?
I don’t know about that… but - “There are no signposts in the Sea”… and the Heart likes a good Story, not necessarily a true one perhaps…
The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?

Indeed. Makes a person wonder about all the self-help books that expound the wisdom that one should follow their heart. 
“What the world needs now is love sweet love…”
Perhaps we should endeavor to mold a new reality…closer to the heart…
Or if that doesn’t work then I suggest that we choose an elite group of “Texas Rangers” and give them limited immunity to hunt down/bring to to justice any known criminals from “the list”.
…And by bring to justice I obviously mean drag them kicking and screaming (after a trial) to a custom purpose-built “abattoir” which they’re promptly run through. Payed admission which would fund local charities and fully televised for posterity.
But yeah, let’s try the “closer the heart” thing first.
