I appreciate PCR’s work, but I find that his baby boomer perspective isn’t always the most practical. And just to be clear—before anyone jumps to conclusions—I realize there are plenty of exceptions within the boomer generation, many of whom are probably well represented on this website. I’m not unaware of how a sweeping generalization operates.
Isn’t rage baiting and profit for a living pretty much the business model for the Internet writers? Without a steam valve for both writers and users, a pressure cooker blows up. They can’t touch the levers of power to change much, except information. They’re harmless and the owners of the planet know.
