Only slightly more serious…The tunnel sounds nice and all, but we’d probably have better chances of getting ScarmogeCo to offer us one of the (conditional) bridges he might have to sell. IIRC he’s got a bunch of 'em, all stored on his Oceanfront property in Arizona…

Super interesting article. I had only snippets of the history rattling around in my head. A Bering strait tunnel would certainly change geopolitics, giving US and Russia tangible reasons to cooperate (as they should be doing) rather than US seeing Russia as the permanent ‘bad guy’ in the perpetual war scheme.
That said, isn’t that strait where two continental plates come together? How in the world do you build an underground tunnel across that? The strait however clearly appears to be a ‘convergence’ point rather than divergence as the deepest part of it is only 300 feet.

Agree. Eliminating government in a fascist model leaves corporatism. Managing a corporation requires a complete inventory and control of all assets, both known and undisclosed.
If Europe falls in upon itself and devowers itself, you might have a chance in escaping doom. If by Divine miracle this would happen, don’t muck it up this time around. Sadly gaming is oft poepoed on and that is sad. It could be a great addition to expressing creativity, like many movies, series and books were.
This Roblox thing broke something inside me. Seems most of humanity is vermin content eating their young. Payment systems blocking steam but happely accomodate the most devious predatory practices. It is not that I did not know, but the scale and intention of it!! It makes me wonder if current humanity is worth saving or fighting for!
