Being respectful is important but there is no need to be anxious on the level you are. RV is just psychic ability, put in a straightjacket to some degree so it was acceptable for military types to embrace it. Psychic ability is native to every human, some are more talented at it than others, but it is actually just another of our senses.
The realms you are talking about can be dangerous if you go in totally unprotected yes, but protection is as easy as calling for it, announcing it, creating it with your higher self, with Jesus or God, or if you are of another faith then the deity of your faith. NOTHING can happen to you in the astral realm except being surprised or made anxious or put in fear - you can’t actually be eaten, mauled or physically attacked but your mind and emotions can be played with, so you do need to protect yourself and your spirit. yes calling on your own Higher Self or Guardian Angels or your guides for protection is important. This is why when you read cards or use other oracles, you ask to close the reading and allow only your guides and higher self to answer your questions, along with the guides of the subject involved and “no other entity may be involved in this question and answer period, unless my guides allow it.” Period. Done. There is no danger. it is remarkably quiet and undramatic in any way.
It is not anything to fear, and as with most things, being trained by an experienced person and having strong faith overcomes all obstacles. The rewards can be great. Everyone should develop their intuition, and simple things like precognition and being tuned in to others does not require really wading into astral realms.
If you are spying on countries or traveling to mars or looking for a murderer, yes it makes sense you’d created a protective bubble around you before venturing forth, but it’s just common sense. Any explorer takes protective clothing before stepping into parts unknown.
It does seem like something’s gotta give pretty soon here!
