It’s just a “mystery”? Per their Wickedpedia page they’ve come a long way since 1971 as the world’s second most impoverished nation.
They accomplished 100% electrification of their country this year. Bound to be a few hiccups plus they had to sign onto the carbon reduction plandemic even though they have plentiful natural gas deposits. How weird is that, they have to import LNG gas? Why don’t they develop their gas deposits? Obviously their leaders are indebted to the globalists to allow them to raise so quickly and therefore have to do as they are told to do, buy gas from Russia? Well maybe now they’ll allow development.

Bangladesh continues to have huge untapped reserves of natural gas, particularly in its maritime territory in the Bay of Bengal.[325][326]The success ratio of finding gas wells in the country stands at 3:5:1, meaning one commercial deposit is found in every three explored zones.[327] The success ratio is well above the global average.[327] A lack of exploration and decreasing proven reserves have forced Bangladesh to import LNG from abroad, despite having substantially untapped gas reserves.[328][329][330] Gas shortages were further exasperated by the Russia-Ukraine War.[331]
