The West had it made in the shade. But, the Western leadership had no concept of real economics. Now the people will pay the price. Not the leadership - that sunk the economic ship of state.

I think the Western leadership, which offshored nearly everything productive, had a perfect understanding of real economics and consciously decided to obliterate the middle class, impoverish ordinary workers, amass profits while doing so, and leave the U.S. taxpayer holding the bag. (The bag, by the way, is full of IOUs from the U.S. taxpayer to the U.S. taxpayer… Real assets will have been vacuumed up by the people who deliberately wrecked the economy, and by their lackeys and enablers.)

Western leadership of today are stooges that would sell their mothers for a buck. In that regard the EU, US and the Commonwealth have no leaders, but that replacement was also orkestrated to obtain asset shifting from the populous to the few and the populous holding the debt bag.
However, in due time those families a la Bidenenko, Trosdeau, von der crazy etc will join our ranks of you will be happy with nothing. For them it might be 2040, but coming it is. I hope enough of us will be still there to remind everyone else.
