I hope that others who choose to venture out into “Town Hall World” come better prepared than this guy. I waited a while to see what would happen but now I’m becoming quite convinced that NO ONE has thought about engaging Pandora’s World. Power and Knowledge bring responsibilities with them.
Alexander had Aristotle, Trump had Nixon and Cohn. Imagine the differences in the teachings that each received.
Might be good time to read Hesiod and revisit The Greek Myths. And while we are supposedly thinking about what to do about Education … after we take a shot at teaching children to be able to read and write we might want to revisit The Classical World. Maybe the study of The Greek Myths (and other so-called Mythical Literature) and teaching The Great Ideas Curriculum are not such bad things after all.
