The church is responsible for the conservative nature of the state of Utah. Salt Lake City proper is primarily in the Democratic fold, the suburbs and most of the rest of the state is conservative. The church may have not anything to do with the assassination, the venue, yes.

Stability, stress, environment make execution more complex than range conditions suggest and the shooter scored a lethal headshot, of which a carotid is also characteristic. Israel and it’s Ukrainian offshoot is most plausible.
You have to wonder about ballistics right? That kind of shot was unlikely from a casual tin can marksman.

Absolutely not, that was a small caliber round shot through a extended barrel weapon “rifle” which under the conditions is a very difficult shot. Entry wound indicates small caliber hollow point, exit wound several times larger than entry, combined with ruptured carotid, hence the large volume blood loss.
Highly trained, extraction and logistics planned, narrows down the field greatly.
