Is this based on the Stendhal novel??? wow thank you! The novel had an ending that was so theatrical I always wanted to see it not just read it.
OMG at the beginning of this movie they say âthis movie is based on a true storyâ !!! No its not! pure fantastic fictionâŚ
Oh yeah, much better link to film. Thanks!
This oneâŚ
oh! thatâs the true story. okay. Well if they are going to lift Stendhalâs title, it is confusing.
So none of these are based on the French novel? : / oh my heartâŚ
Well at least today I found out about Stendhal Syndrome- its crazy. search on it.
Funny! I JUST WATCHED The Boys From Brazil again 2 weeks ago. Loved it!
Very strange how bald heads have become so fashionable. It used to be only secret servicemen and military. I was out of country for a number of years. When did it start, and how?
Did you know that âhairâ is very healthy, like teeth, it attracts the good electromagnetic energy to your body. Hair used to be a personâs power. Now, less is more.
It started in the 90s, when hipsters were aging and they still wanted to look âcoolâ so they would just shave their entire heads instead of dealing with partial hair or the dreaded âcomb overâ. the bullet head became a hyper-masculine thing and/or a hipster guy thing - think James Corbett for more of a hipster, and all kinds of motorcycle guys, beefy dudes like Joe Rogan, post-punks, goths, regular working class guys, even Alex Jones got into the spirit of it if you look at AJ about 10 years ago he was still doing a partial comb over. lol
What a wonderful, moving, healing movie. Thank you so much!
Iâd like to add THE LIVES OF OTHERS to your list, a German film that won the foreign academy award in 2006, also in the same vein âof wonder.â I have watched it over and over again, and never grow tired of watching. Now I have your filmâŚ
And what about the other Max Van Sydow film, the exquisite PELLE THE CONQUEROR that won the foreign oscar in 1987.
Havenât seen it, sounds good, thanks.
I think the cast is a major reason this film is soooo good!
Stendhal Syndrome I donât think is rare at all, anyone who thinks that I recommend they go try looking at some of the paintings in Brussels art museum basements.
Such a classic!!! Thanks for posting.
The Boys From Brazil: I thought it was funny as well. totally OTT.
I got a similar reaction and a blinding headache after looking at a painting of black and white lines at the Tate in London once.
With thanks to neru and RB.
