“A New Leaf” (1971, one of my favourite films. The idle and spoiled Henry Graham (Matthau) learns from his accountant/lawyer (William Redfield) that he (Graham) is broke.
Here’s link to movie….
I had something similar happen at a “modern art” installation when I tripped over a line of bricks that stretched across the floor and brought up at a table on which reposed a commode wrapped in brown paper and string.
You should have sued - no warning/ hazard sign.
Thank you so much! Its brilliant, I specially like Harold the butler. And who could forget “Are you related to the Boston Hitlers?”
its clearly a prototype for the movie “Arthur” Dudley Moore. (they stole the idea and rewrote it is what I mean, really only changed the money coming from inheritance instead of the woman he marries, and being a total drunk) : ) I like seeing filmmaking from this era, so different, pace is very different, low key, very human.
One of our favorite series is THE LOST ROOM. It aired on the Sci-Fi network and was only on for one season, which is a shame. “C.S.A.: The Confederate States of America” is a comedy mockumentary which answers the question “What if the Confederacy had won the American civil war?”
Here’s a belated Halloween film. It’s a comic drama about a gravedigger who just can’t seem to keep all the corpses underground. (This is Not suitable for children and some of the corpses are nude). It’s Italian title is Dellamorte Dellamore:
From “Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical” -
Mary Lane:
“Next week, president Roosevelt
is coming to town.”
Jimmy:
“Wow! You know, my pop says
He’s a Labor-appeasing,
Supreme-Court-packing bolshevik.”
