…endorses any flat earth “theory”. I do NOT subscribe to it.
Yes, the flat earth theory is definitely unfashionable.
In a related story…I’ve got some bad news for any “Big Mike” fans that have made it this far…
If you’re looking for “traditional” leaders and politicians you might want to consider moving to France!
Oh wait…
… as John B. Wells once quipped … “Wait a minute. You’re telling me everyone else got a sphere and all we got was a lousy plate”. (close paraphrase)
Love me some John B Wells… He often told an interesting story about a motorcycle crash that
he impossibly survived without a scratch…and credited the Lord.
His show had an interesting evolution. Followed him from his opening night after being unceremoniously booted by George Noory in a fit of jealousy. Haven’t heard it in a good while but was a member for years. Only so much time in the day…
There is one question i have yet to hear any “Flat Earther” answer. I feel it should be simple enough to answer if your thinking it all the way through to it’s logical conclusion.
What comes between the moon and the sun during a total lunar eclipse?
The wool that’s been pulled over their eyes…
Just want to clarify that the term “flat earth” was not even hinted. I simply do not accept a spinning ball and since we don’t have anything but cartoon versions of the earth, I do not know WHAT shape it is. I have been a pilot and NEVER do you calculate for earth curvature and you don’t ever see anything curving from the cockpit no matter how far up you get nor how far you travel. Fact is, we are not allowed to fly in enough areas of the planet that there are more questions than answers.
The magnetic fields suggest a torus, that is what I do know. How that translates in form is purely hypothetical, just like a spinning ball traveling at high velocities…
And by the way, what has always been great about this intellectual group of alternative thinkers is that we are allowed to agree to disagree.
Speaking for myself…I’d never consciously or intentionally “make fun” of anyone here or their
personal beliefs (unless Big Mike happens to become a “member”).
What I WILL say is that I’m as certain as one could be that it’s not “flat”. In the absence of
actual photographs taken from the planet Mars…my guess as to its shape based on the gravitational effects and centrifugal force would be an oblate spheroid.
As members of this website, we know that the Moon is responsible for tidal forces and the
seasons on this planet (as any Farmers Almanac would attest). This author has owned and
used several large telescopes throughout his life. I’ve seen the moons of Jupiter transit their planets surface and plotted its position in an ever changing sky repeatedly. I’ve seen Mars and
Venus and Saturn as well and as close as you can get with a 10 inch scope… They’re all orbs.
When the Earth is at its apogee there are measurable effects on the climate. When the Earth
rotates we alternate between day and night and when we experience a total eclipse of the Sun it is “our” Moon in an impossibly perfect position to block it out entirely for a predictable
period of time.
I don’t know everything, and have been fooled before. Although I don’t speak for the Doc I’d be
willing to bet that he’d readily admit that HE does not know everything. However, as I’ve tried to
demonstrate…Flat Earth is a psyop. I watched it evolve and take hold on the internet at the time. It was a good exercise in mind control and group think and its players, both willing and
unwilling were fairy easy to identify.
Anecdotally, Clif High who is in his 80’s once remarked about how different the education system is now to what it was back then. He testified that, among other practices, as children
in Alaska (he was a military brat) they were required to personally demonstrate that the world was round by means of digging a hole and placing a stick of a certain length in the ground at
various places and measuring the shadow. My grandfather also endlessly told me of how much more difficult his studies were compared to mine. It was one of my first awakenings…
PsyOps like “Flat Earth” are thrown in to distract and desensitize any laymen to all the real
evil going on out there, were they to come across it…(Think about how the CIA popularized the term “conspiracy theorist” so as to give an automatic negative connotation to anyone exploring a clandestined topic). Fear not though! There’s plenty of TRUE deception to go around…
Here are a few of the big ones that might strains credulity:
Earth’s Moon was MOVED and PARKED here at the exact location it needed to be to have a
positive effect on the seasons and an overall negative effect on people…
There are EARTH SIZED “ships” traveling around on Saturn’s rings, perhaps generating the
rings, perhaps feeding off of them?
In all likelyhood we have a breakaway civilization both beneath our feet and somewhere outside of the Earth. Evidence is abundant that suggest underground cities with vast and interconnected tunnel networks. Where would all the best and brightest have been taken?
What about the millions upon millions of missing children? Makes our petty politics seem
rather small doesn’t it?
Lastly, we have mountains of evidence pointing to an ancient and ongoing Cosmic war. Our
planet is littered with structures that we could not possibly replicate with our current “tech”…
The Kailasa Temple in India, Angkor Wat in Cambodia, as well as the Great Pyramid at Giza…
to name just a few…
Honestly, I’ve never been upset at anyone that doesn’t understand these things that I know
to be truth. Everyone has their own unique gifts and cross to bear in this life. An old friend of
mine once told me that everyone has something to teach you…even if all they do is serve as
a bad example.
Truth is though, that most people are just too busy making the donuts to see what’s right in front of their eyes. And that’s probably by design…

Here’s the exercise previously mentioned as performed by Clif High as a youth:
A common exercise used to demonstrate the Earth’s curvature in schools is the “stick-shadow” experiment, where students would observe how the shadows cast by sticks at different locations at the same time of day vary due to the Earth’s round shape, with the difference in shadow lengths indicating the Earth’s curvature; this principle was also used by the ancient Greek scientist Eratosthenes to calculate the Earth’s circumference
ROF… now that made my evening after a VERY long day!
Perfectly timed and recurring glaucoma???
You are allowed to disagree, but not to spout nonsense here that reflects on everyone else, AND I REMIND YOU THAT I ASKED YOU PRIVATELY SOME TIME AGO TO KEEP ALL FLAT EARTH NONSENSE TO YOURSELF AND NOT SPOUT IT HERE. YOU AGREED. LAST WARNING… I WILL TOLERATE EVERYTHING BUT COMPLETE NONSENSE. I hope that is sufficiently clear.
Ouch! Yeah that thought didn’t translate to the page too well. Proofreading and I will get reacquainted apologies
Had a long day myself…,
No it wasn’t directed at you… I asked someone, nicely, privately, and some to keep all the flat earth & related nonsense off the forum; that person agreed, privately, and now it at it again in spite of saying they would abide by that. In making my notice general, the specific person responded, and responded defensively. I have a low threshold of tolerance for such things.
Is there a list of forbidden ideas on the forum? I would surely prefer to avoid a dress down, privately or publicly.
No, no such list, other than pushing ideas that are nonsensical, and when I ask, privately, not to do so.
I don’t have the acumen to weigh in on whether the earth is spherical, flat or even concave. I just know that back in the day, in the military, we were taught how to navigate from point A to point B with a map, compass and protractor. A system that I believe worked just as well before Galileo when the earth was still “flat”, as after when it became “spherical”. So whatever actual shape it is, I can reliably move about with accuracy. I’m good either way.
OK… so here’s a question: how would you fly from San Francisco to Frankfurt, using a compass, a map, and a protractor, especially if pilots never take into account the curvature of the earth? If you draw a straight line on the map, you’ll be flying a lot farther than if you fly the “polar” route, which may look longer on the flat surface, but on a GLOBE it is different. The straight line on the map when projected on the globe, becomes much longer. So why aren’t airlines saving lots of money by flying the flat earth route? So let’s use our minds, and think, and not waste time with nonsense.
Cool. I will try my best to steer clear of nonsensical ideas. Guess I’ll know if I have one if I get “called into the office”. Seems to me it makes no difference if the idea of a sphere or flat shape of the earth matters except to an astronomer.
See the immediately above post… ever fly to Europe? Or Asia? Then consider what “flat earth” rates would cost you…
