Our other half, that musn't be neglected

‘This Angel is our “other half.” If we lose contact with it, we lose our humanity and are lost in confusion and nihilism. The Angel is our Orient, the pole around which our lives revolve. It is the end of all our searching. Here is where we find our completion, our ultimate wholeness. Only by reuniting with this celestial component of our being do we find our Self. And to do this we must shed the shadows, the confusions, and the evils of the lower soul, not integrate them.’ -(Tom Cheetham)

It seems more and more to me like this kind of thing encapsulates a lot of misunderstanding. Christianity was about selfless devotion to a higher ideal, which in itself is trans-human because it means sacrificing essentially human passions - even personal love and the self-preservation instinct. That makes Communism, Socialism, et al, seem like a logical product of Christianity itself. And when we stop taking everything in an abstract and purely metaphysical sense, Angels seem to be Divine Admin for off-world intelligences. JPF said that Quetzalcoatl told the South American tribes not to sacrifice, in contradiction to the instructions of the God known as Ja-atl. I don’t think that phoneme’s a coincidence, and if the God of the Old Testament is the one who’s sending angels around and is also the one demanding sacrifice… I think I might just eat off my knees, to borrow Pratchett’s turn of phrase around letting Gods get on with Godding and humans with humaning.

This is also related to the idea that the world religions have been working together to form a planet-wide monoculture the whole time. In which case Christ has essentially ordained vaccines. None of this is happening without God’s consent, which just goes to show that he cares for the individual in the same an individual farmer might care about an individual cow. I.e. - not enough not to slaughter it for meat.

Not really finding it easy to be optimistic atm.

I imagine that “The celestial component of our being” is a reference to the Kingdom within, or higher consciousness etc…It’s a bit floral, but heck- I’m simultaneously suffering from a kidney/bladder infection and a bout of Cellulitis… I’m also finding it hard to optimistic…Some days are better than others eh?

Good excuse to drink cranberry juice, re. bladder infection!

It’s the Cellulitis that’s making things difficult…

That’s a nasty combo! Have you had cellulitis in the past? I had a tiny spot of it on my face some years ago right after a deep teeth cleaning and it spread within 12 hours to where I could barely open my eyes.

I started antibiotic treatment immediately, one of the few allopathic remedies I will use only in emergencies. It may have been a scare tactic, but the doctor said it could’ve killed me within a day or two.

What is it???

Good thoughts your way, David. I hope all is resolved and well soon!

You might try Juniper berry(as fresh as possible, and do crush them first) tea, it works wonders for UTI( urinary tract infection) .
As for cellulitis, it mostly does pass, but if severe, acupuncture( by a practitioner, preferably an actual chinese Doctor, of TCM — Traditional Chinese Medicine) could be the answer. I had an eyes infection, as well as cellulitis on other body parts, and one session cleared that right up. Get ready for a lot of needles, though. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Be well, be whole, David.

Great advice, Wu, acupuncture is one of my favorite go to modalities. My understanding at the time was that since it was my face with all of its sensory organs, that it could’ve have gotten life threatening much more quickly.

Check out Hebrew Scholar, Mauro Biglino’s book “Gods of The Bible”. He clearly demonstrates that the “God” of The Old Testament is NOT the Creator of All!!

First time I’ve had it, Started Two courses of Antibiotics-(Bladder +Cellulitis) the next day… Having two infections simultaneously is making making progress a little slower, but it’s starting to feel a bit better after 4 days…(7 day course of meds)… It’s a been a rough week though I’ll admit…

Feel better man.
I just got over a case of the shingles, probably brought on by stress.
Would not recommend.

Yes…Stress is, I suppose, resistance to reality- rather than Adaption… All that rational internal dialogue is silenced by a good hard Slap from the body…

Overwhelming stress will figure out a way to, well, overwhelm you. My brother is in trouble, fatal disease. Just found out three weeks ago.

My son and son in law both had shingles about a year ago; separated by 6 months from each other. One was 40 and one was 42 year’s old.
So sorry to hear about your brother. Take care of yourself… Sending love!

I know I could just search for it on the internet, but… What is cellulitis, actually?
