I find it mystifying that Laurel Canyon appears to be fire free. West on Mullholland, there is fire, east over in the next canyon Runyon Canyon is the sunset fire. However, Laurel Canyon Blvd, and the Wonderland Ave / old Lookout Mountain AFB are fine.

Long Beach is an infused AI shipping portage & possibly model for the other ports to be built out. San Diego is the the naval bases, with advanced AI. This is why I think they will be spared.
Those facilities may indeed be spared, but like Lahaina, Malibu, Palisades, Chile, etc., there are too many properties in private hands. Same could be said of San Francisco Bay Area as well.
