Rogers 'making progress' on fixing massive outage snarling telecom, banking

If the outages are still ongoing, this would be classed as a critical incident by now… probably has been from the start, to be fair. Even a network of that size could have been rebuilt from scratch with completely new equipment by this stage, and the opportunity cost of doing that will definitely have been discussed. I wonder if there are problems with equipment supplies… thinking on it, didn’t Canada recently go against the grain and agree to send back the Nord 1 turbines to Germany? I wonder if there is a reciprocal shipment of required Ericsson parts waiting on the tarmac for the return flight to Canada.

I don’t know what hardware platform Rogers uses, though. I do know that this issue will be a political football by this stage. Monopolies still have shareholders, you know.

The shareholder is Blackrock/FRED. Don’t be alarmed. The markets are fake. Total BS.

Market forces like supply and demand, and real price discovery, haven’t been in play for several decades. TOTAL FAKE NONSENSE.

Nationalizing anything in Canada is not in the forseeable future. Besides, hacking and backdooring in telecoms is much the same in the internet as it is in telecoms and the two are connected. Those with that sort of power over the washed and unwashed won’t be giving up that control anytime soon.

The central banks will look after themselves, as usual.
