My continued prayers for your recovery. I have observed the recovery of my brother-in-law from 4 open-heart surgeries. He had heart valve damage from illness as a child. The pain and inflammation were the worst the fifth day after surgery. After the first surgery, he found the pain hard to deal with. By the 4th surgery, he knew that the 5th day was the worst pain and he could get through it as he had previously. He knew exactly which small pillow worked best to hold to his chest when coughing or laughing. He knew when the itching was worst and so on. On this your first, and hopefully last surgery, the healing path is difficult but hang in there. We are all praying for you every day. The physical therapy is grueling, but keep going. My brother-in-law is doing well now. He looks good. I hope to see JPF next fall on video and think “Joseph looks GOOD in his jaunty hat.”

I have learned so much from you by listening to you over the years, you have opened my thoughts to so many different ways of thinking about things. Oh dear Dr. Farrell - I have just found out about your recent heart attack, and see an outpouring of concern from all our fellow Gizars. Thank you for these updates. Please fellows let us know what is the best way to help and support Dr F - he has friends from around the world. Prayers are many.
I feel sorry for Dr F as he is going to get a lot of flak about smoking now - rant on.

Hi Margaret-W. This morning the 9th I prayed for 25 minutes for Joseph and his heart and healing. Someone suggested a group prayer for today but I cannot find that post now. It was powerful to feel that I was praying with others. I hope we can organize daily prayers at set times as well as our individual prayers. I live in California. I think the person who set this up said they were in the east coast. Do you have a prayer group at this time? Thanks

Hi consider… There are a few of us who months ago formed our own personal prayer support group outside of the forum. We are in the process of updating and haven’t discussed adding new members or changing our purpose. I agree that it would be good for the forum to have a specific time(s) for Gizars to focus positive energies on important areas. Maybe a new discussion category can be added to help form, maintain such a group.
