Take a train, or a ship, but not the injections

No argument from me. I don’t know what your teaching experience was like, but invariably my dumbest students were “education majors” whose heads were full of “process” and “pedagogical methods” and all the Deweyesque claptrap of designing “learning environments”. I can still see the “education section” from my first mediaeval philosophy class and I remember it with horror, realizing that it was the "future of the country. “Averroes? Some Arab guy who liked Aristotle…” as I learned from one of the mid-term test answers. And then there was that test with the question about the treaty of Versailles, when the answer I received (after having spelled it correctly in the question), was “Versigh.”
