A couple of titles on “technique” that might be helpful … William Barrett’s The Illusion of Technique: A Search for Meaning in a Technological Civilization … and Back to the Rough Ground: Practical Judgment and the Lure of Technique by Joseph Dunne to be helpful along those lines. As always original sources are best … the Charmides by Plato … not sure I go along with (or approve of) Aristotle’s thought that technology is a means of man in helping to complete nature. Before using technology to bring about objects not NATURALLY found in nature (if memory serves Aristotle said something along those lines) It would seem that much thought should be put into the question of whether or not it is a GOOD (in the Socratic / Platonic sense) that the proposed objects be brought into the World. Certainly questions related to the effect(s) of bringing those objects into the World on current states of affairs (relations effecting belief) as they are in the World and how they could or might be altered in turn possibly altering perception(s) of Reality should be of considered.
to what extent someone can bring idea to life or totality of existence its really tricky to be answered, eg. who when how why etc. variation in different circumstances planes states dimensions etc., simply something that is possible in context of someone by someone dont mean always is possible in every case to everyone, especially not when metaphysical inertia is in question!, when we as object become observer only if we consent to, and vice versa, thats why its utmost important to “dem” we to consent when we are trapping our free will to “deir” will!, logic which I derive it from simple observation like Prayers or curse can affect someone or dont need to even tho as emergent are directed somewhere to someone!
