Do the U.S. Navy’s finest just (Oops!) bump into ‘uncharted’ mountains? Apparently (according to the article) it’s happened before - despite what I would assume is access to the most complete 3D maps of the ocean bottoms available to anyone on the planet, super-sophisticated sonar systems capable of detecting objects much smaller than mountains, and navigation systems designed to take full advantage of both.
Does anyone else care to call B.S.?
