ok, Cool – I’m planning on it for New Year’s! Thank you for posting!
Enjoy! Akira Kurosawa painted scenes before he directed his movies: Akira Kurosawa's spectacular hand-painted storyboards
Moving storyboards, Cool! Some of his palette and brushstrokes remind me of Soutine. Thank you so much for sharing these. Alicia xo
You were right, nidster! Making lots of popcorn – I’m on the second season.
Than nidster, we are the mates. I am obsessed with Mentalist. I own entire series on DVD. There is a lot of threding to current events and people. Scientology shows up, E Musk like billionaire character too. Ohh! and cast makes such a great team.
Good observation QVBB. So, when we ‘think about it’ my theory is many, many times the Producers and Writers of these TV shows and Movies are able to ‘un-mask’ the fraud and hypocrisy of those who ‘rule’ over the little people by exposing their hypocritic ‘underbellies’. Most of that comes in the later seasons of the Mentalist, meanwhile each season is highly entertaining, and informative. As I said earlier, this year is my 4th viewing of the series.
QVBB just got The Mentalist Season 1 from the local library today.
Looking forward to watching it.
Time for my Season 2. xo
Great. I’ll tune in my remote viewer and watch too.
What can I say, addiction is a disease. I watch all seven seasons on average ones a year
Bruno Heller author and producer of entire series must have been well connected into shenanigans of lower-level deep state minions (that’s just my hunch) since several months after series was finished, news broke out of investigation of secret masonic like association of police in Northen California. Take that for serendipity .
Sure, Bruno Heller is the Producer. Erika Green Swafford is the Executive story editor. Most likely the plot for each episode come from a host of other writers. That implies many sources had input. California is the main location for the earlier episodes, then it moves to Texas, and finally to New York City. These settings are most likely just examples of how widespread corruption is in local, state and federal agencies in America.
The Mentalist you say?Hmm.
Watching it now.Although i am more Sherlok Holmes and Doctor Who kind of fan.
So far so good.Season 1.
This is the modern, updated version of Sherlock Holmes, and you will adore the actress who portrays ‘Watson’.
There’s a new Holmes book out.
I’m on chapter 5.
It’s still too early to tell, if it’s going to be worth recommending.

Agent Cho’s cadence and demeanor during reportage strangely remind me of Joe Friday. D’ya know?
Yeah, good analogy! Very similar to Joe Friday’s character. The main characters were wisely chosen. Simon Baker is Australian and plays Patrick Jane. Which character does he remind you of from any past TV series, books, movies, if any?
First impression: He’s motivated darkly like Dr. Richard Kimball, yet masks his manipulations like a benevolent Dr. Kildare. The tension is occasionally released with his annoying Dennis the Menace impishness. His feminine boyish side foils Lisbon’s masculine girlishness creating a playful love interest.
Excellent!!! Where in the series are you?
Finished Season 2. Going on to 3 next.
